Spanish expert Rafael Benitez is the new coach of Celta, the club confirmed today.
He agreed to a three-year cooperation with the Spanish team.
The former coach of Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle, Inter, Real Madrid and Napoli has been without a job since 2022 when he left Everton’s bench.
Celta stated in a statement that Benitez “has great experience on the bench and a career that is hard to match”.
On the Celta bench, Rafa will replace Carlos Carvalhal.
Rafa elwon the Champions League in 2005 and the FA Cup in 2006 with Liverpool.
