Naxxar maintained their perfect record while confirming their strong attack after another great 10-0 win against Ta’ Xbiex in the Nestle Ice Cream Beach Soccer League.
Nicholas Schembri scored five goals while Lee Joe Schembri and Kurt Borg scored twice. Mark Camilleri added another for the Lions.
The Lions also obtained another 8-2 victory over Birżebbuġa Tigers. They were trailing against their opponents but managed to turn the tables to get the most desired victory.
Yessous Camilleri netted a poker while Nicholas Schembri had a personal brace. Joseph Paul Zammit and Lee Joe Schembri also put their names on the score sheet.
Noel Tabone and Lydon Cuschieri scored Birżebbuġa’s goals.
On the other hand, there was a hard fought game between Birżebbuġa Tigers and Sliema Beach Soccer with the former winning 6-4.
Noel Tabone and Brandon Bray were inspirational for the Southerners as they scored two goals each with Lydon Cuschieri and Camilo Escobar Del Castillo adding their names among the scorers.
For the Blues, who are still looking for their first points in this competition, there was a double by Matthew Agius and other goals by Matthew Gatt and Kurt Mifsud.
The Blues were unlucky to lose their match against Ta’ Xbiex 6-5. The latter obtained their first points of the tournament after their initial defeats.
Koibe Desire, Saturday Nanapere and Zvezdan Vukovic netted a brace apiece.
Sliema stayed in the game with goals from Andrea Coppola, Matthew Agius, Shalon Diacono, Vincenzo Margiotta and Simone Palma.
