The football club Bayern Munich has ended the controversial cooperation with Qatar Airways, because of which the leaders of the club found themselves the target of the fans.
This “controversial” contract was signed five seasons ago, and it was condemned by fans who protested in 2021 because the club prevented them from voting on ending this sponsorship.
Due to the lack of respect for human rights in that country, Bayern’s fan groups demanded that the contract with this company not be extended.
The management of Bayern, however, considered that it helped bring about positive changes in Qatar after numerous criticisms about respect for human rights during the organization of the World Cup.
The players of the club from Munich wore the Qatar Airways logo on their sleeves in the previous five seasons, and they did their last winter preparations in Qatar in January of this year.
