ASTON VILLA PLAYER CHANGES NAME AND NATIONAL TEAM: Englishman will play for Poland!

The Aston Villa player changed his citizenship, so he will play for the Polish national team in the future.

Matt Cash, born in England, accepted the invitation of the Polish Football Association, so he will play for the selection of the country from which his mother comes.

A picture of the document also appeared, which shows that Mattie Cash is no longer Mattie Cash, but Mateusz Gotówka!

The surname Gotovka came from a literal translation of the word “Cash” from Polish, which means money.

This is a very important and proud day for my family. My application for Polish citizenship has been officially approved. I would like to thank the president, my family, and everyone else who helped me. Now is the time for a new challenge. I will give everything for this country – the new Polish football player wrote on Twitter.

What will you call the Aston Villa defender of the future? Like Mattie Cash or Mateusz Gotówka?
