Four players have reached the semifinals of the first qualifying tournament for the 2026 Nations Cup in Gibraltar.
Clayton Castaldi, Miguel Amato, Johan Attard, and Clint Azzopardi have all earned their spots in the final four.
Clint Azzopardi had the biggest win of the round, beating Glenn Axiaq 8-1. Miguel Amato and Clayton Castaldi both won 8-2, against Gabriel Vella and Miguel Mizzi, respectively. Malta’s current champion, Johan Attard, also won 8-4 against Wayne Pace.
The semifinals will take place this Friday, with Miguel Amato playing Clayton Castaldi and Johan Attard facing Clint Azzopardi.
The final of this first qualifying tournament will be on 3 November.
