Danil Medvedev defeated the Serbian tennis player Laslo Djere and advanced to the quarterfinals of the tournament in Halle and talked about Djokovic.
Despite the victory, the Russian admitted that it is very difficult for him to play on grass.
“You can play a perfect match and lose in two tie breaks.” That is very difficult for me to accept,” Medvedev said.
Medvedev touched Djokovic and said that what he does on grass is alien.
“When I see Novak now or Federer once, they look like aliens on the grass to me.” It’s amazing how they have so many Wimbledon wins, when literally every match is tricky. I watch them and try to learn,” Medvedev said.
In the quarterfinals of the tournament in Halle, Medvedev will play against veteran Roberto Bautista Agut, who was better than Brandon Nakashima 2:0 in sets.
