Alcaraz returned - and scheduled a spectacle with Novak in the semi-finals of Turin!

Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz advanced to the semi-finals of the Final Masters in Turin with a maximum victory over Daniil Medvedev – 6:4, 6:4.

Alcaraz thus scheduled a duel with Novak Djokovic in the semifinals of the last tournament of the season.

Medvedev secured a place in the semi-finals even earlier, and had the opportunity to “calculate”. However, the impression is that the Russian was still outplayed by his rival who had a lot of problems ahead of the match that decided his fate in Turin. Weaker editions at the Asian Tour, the defeat at the start of the Masters in Paris definitely left the 20-year-old from Murcia without the opportunity to “seize” the first place from Djokovic at the end of the year. Add to that the loss in the first round of the Final Masters… it didn’t look good for Alcaraz.

However, with two consecutive victories over Russian tennis players (Rublev, Medvedev), Alcaraz secured a place in the semi-finals as the first-placed player, where he will compete with the best in the world for the 4th time this year.

Two of this year’s duels went to Novak (Roland Garros, Cincinnati), while the Spaniard celebrated at Wimbledon.

The second semi-final pair consists of Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev.
