Rangers have parted company with manager Philippe Clement after a 2-0 loss at home to St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.
The Belgian, aged 50, was dismissed from his position a year and four months into his tenure, with the team trailing Celtic by 13 points in the league table.

“Rangers wish to express their gratitude to Philippe for his commitment and effort during his time as manager. Further announcements from the club will be made in due course,” stated the Glasgow team in a brief release on Sunday.

Under Clement’s leadership, Rangers reached the Europa League last 16 and are set to play Fenerbahce next month. However, they were eliminated from the Scottish Cup by second-tier Queen’s Park recently and lost to Celtic on penalties in the League Cup final last December.
