Exiles ASC are the winners of the BOV Water Polo first division knockout competition.
Exiles beat Otters in the final of this competition with a score of 15-10 to continue their positive streak after winning the BOV 1st Division Winter League earlier this year.
Otters were playing in the first final in the history of the club but could not keep up with their opponents. Exiles took a commanding 10-5 lead in the first half thanks to 6 goals by their foreigner Drasko Gogov.
Otters pulled 2 back in the third session to narrow the gap but another 3 goals from Exiles including 2 by Gogov gave Sirens a comfortable 6 goal lead.
Exiles kept the momentum in the last session to end the BOV Water Polo 1st Division Knockout Final for the first time since 2009 with a 15-10 win with the protagonist being Gogov with a 9 goal tally.
Exiles were presented with the BOV Water Polo 1st Division League trophy by Ernest Agius, Chief Operations Officer at Bank of Valletta and Karl Izzo, President of the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta.
Bank of Valletta is this year celebrating its 50th Anniversary since it first opened its doors and continues to establish itself as an active player in the Community in which it operates.
