Bormla Subbuteo Club, ranked as the third seed in the FISTF Teams World ranking, clinched the championship at the FISTF Yorkshire International Open 2024.
In a decisive final, Bormla triumphed with a 3-1 victory over Elstow UK, showcasing their prowess in table football. The team, led by Captain Mauro Camilleri and featuring George Ebejer, Josef Camilleri, John Zammit, and Thomas Ebejer, demonstrated exceptional skill throughout the tournament.
Bormla’s remarkable journey included dominant wins in Group 1 and a commanding 4-0 triumph against Hennuyer B Belgium in the semi-final.
Despite a tough individual Open final, where Mauro Camilleri reached the final but lost in extra time to Remi Sorrett, Bormla Subbuteo Club’s collective success marked a memorable achievement.
