Luxol St Andrew’s won the first final of the Enemed Futsal League when they dominated the match against University of Malta ACJ Group to beat them 4-1.
Gabriel Dobre’s boys had a perfect first half as they scored four goals and practically had already assured themselves of the victory.
On their part University tried to attack but found Luxol’s defence alert with goalkeeper Clint Mifsud performing a string of decisive saves.
An own goal by Melvin Borg put Luxol in the lead so Everton Veve, Andre Ciancio and Andy Mangion established a 4-0 lead by the end of the first half.
In the second half, Leo Muscat reduced the scoring margin for University of Malta ACJ Group.
The two sides will meet again on Friday for the second final and if Luxol win they will be declared champions for this season.
