The second round of the ROK Cup Italia marked my first experience racing at the renowned 7 Laghi Kart track—and what an unforgettable weekend it was!

Things off with free practice sessions on Friday and Saturday, taking full advantage of the perfect weather conditions. With the track time under our belt, we were ready for Sunday, where the real challenge began with the official practice and qualifying session. I managed to secure P4 in qualifying, setting a solid foundation for the races ahead.

Race 1 saw a dramatic start. I made a strong move off the line and quickly climbed up to P2, but by the end of the first lap, I had dropped back to P7. Refusing to give up, I pushed hard and fought my way to a P8 finish by lap 9.

Race 2 was where things got really exciting. Starting from pole position, I led the race for the first four laps. As the pressure mounted, I slipped down to P4, triggering a nail-biting three-lap battle for position. Midway through the final lap, I made a bold move on the outside, overtaking all three drivers ahead of me. Coming side by side with the race leader into the last corner, I had to settle for P2—just 0.078 seconds behind.

It was a weekend full of learning, intense racing, and moments to remember. I’m proud of the progress made and thrilled with the P2 finish in just my first race at this track. Onward and upward from here! said Ayrton Tonna.
