The FIA has dismissed concerns raised by Red Bull and Ferrari regarding the legality of McLaren and Mercedes’ front wings.
Red Bull and Ferrari had questioned whether the front wings were bending too much and breaching regulations.
However, the FIA stated on Tuesday: “All front wings currently meet the 2024 rules requirements.”
Red Bull and Ferrari have not yet commented on the ruling.
These concerns arose amid the recent surge in performance from McLaren and Mercedes.
While Red Bull dominated early in the season, they now face mounting pressure from McLaren in both championship races.
The reigning champions acknowledge they’re still searching for answers to their car’s performance issues. After the Italian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen remarked: “At present, both titles seem out of reach.”
Verstappen, winless since the Spanish Grand Prix in June, holds a 62-point lead over McLaren’s Lando Norris with eight races left – and 232 points still up for grabs.
In the constructors’ standings, McLaren trail Red Bull by just eight points.
