In the opening match of Matchday 10, Valletta and Gżira United drew 1-1, with both goals coming from second-half penalties.
During the first half, Gżira goalkeeper Edoardo Colombo made several important saves to keep the score level at 0-0 by half-time.
Nine minutes into the second half, Aldama fouled Silva inside the box, and Bohrer Mentz converted the resulting penalty with a powerful low shot past Adilson.
In the 61st minute, Valletta were awarded a penalty after a foul on De Assis, which Yuri Messias calmly scored to make it 1-1.
The score remained unchanged until the final whistle, with Valletta extending their unbeaten run to 10 matches, while Gżira are now three games without defeat under coach Darren Abdilla in the league.
