Tottenham football player Rodrigo Bentancur ended the season due to an injury to his left knee, the London club announced today.
Bentancur will undergo surgery after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during the game against Leicester (1:4) on Saturday in the Premier League.
“We can confirm that Rodrigo Bentancur has torn the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee and will be out for the rest of the season. He will undergo surgery before beginning a rehabilitation process with the club’s medical team. We are all with you Rodrigo,” Tottenham said on Twitter.
Tottenham will play in Italy against Milan on Tuesday at 21:00, the first game of the round of 16 of the Champions League. Yves Bissouma will also miss the game due to injury, and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will miss the game due to suspension.
