Juventus manager Thiago Motta voiced his worries about his team’s erratic performance in attack following their narrow 1-0 victory against Cagliari in Serie A on Sunday.
Motta observed his squad achieve their fourth straight league win with a hard-earned result in Sardinia, yet he criticised their imprecision in front of goal. “We created numerous opportunities in the first half, and going into the break without capitalising on them was always going to be problematic, leading to inevitable struggles,” Motta mentioned to DAZN.

“In the second half, we lost some focus. We endured the pressure without conceding much, but we failed to control the game as we did initially. Cagliari started dominating, which we simply cannot permit.” Motta commended Dusan Vlahovic, who has contributed to 50 goals in 95 Serie A matches for the club. “He plays on merit. Our relationship is exceptional. He possesses a strong character and mindset. Today, he showcased remarkable professionalism and supports his teammates. Managing a player of his calibre is straightforward.”

Juventus have 12 games remaining in which to attempt to bridge the eight-point deficit to Inter Milan, who currently lead the standings by one point over Napoli, following Napoli’s unexpected defeat at Como. “We must approach each match individually, particularly as we enter this pivotal stage of the season,” Motta remarked. “The league is highly competitive, and even the leading teams have faced challenges this weekend.”
