Atalanta’s manager, Gian Piero Gasperini, expressed confidence in their chances of securing the Serie A title following their dominant 4-0 victory over Juventus on Sunday.

The win brought them within three points of league leaders Inter Milan, whom they will face in a crucial match next week.
Atalanta delivered a stellar performance at the Allianz Stadium, propelling them to third place with 58 points as they prepare for a significant home fixture against reigning champions Inter. Gasperini emphasised the importance of nurturing dreams and highlighted the potential for the seemingly impossible to become achievable through belief.

Acknowledging the strength of Inter and Napoli, Gasperini acknowledged the challenge ahead while also finding encouragement in their past encounters. Despite a history of defeats against Inter, Gasperini remained optimistic, noting that Atalanta had never been in such a competitive position at this stage of the season.
Gasperini celebrated Atalanta’s victory over Juventus, halting their five-game winning streak and securing their most emphatic triumph in Turin.

Gasparini expressed his delight at the remarkable outcome, considering it a sensational achievement for them. Given Juventus’ impressive winning streak, it was hard to anticipate such a victory on the eve of the match. He described the performance as nearly flawless, although they missed several scoring opportunities, highlighting a strong overall game.
He commended Ademola Lookman for netting his 13th goal in Serie A, especially after criticising the player’s penalty-taking abilities post their Champions League loss to Club Brugge. Gasperini emphasised Lookman’s transformation into an outstanding player once he prioritised the team’s success, attributing both Atalanta’s and Lookman’s success to each other. Gasperini expressed confidence in Lookman’s future role as the team’s captain, symbolising his deep connection with Atalanta.
