Norwich has officially announced that the new manager is arriving at “Carrow Road”.
The writings from the other day were confirmed, so Dean Smith officially took over the “canaries”.
The former coach of Aston Villa signed a contract for two and a half seasons, shortly after leaving “Villa Park”. Smith was accompanied by his assistant Craig Shakespeare.
– There has been a whirlwind in the last seven days, but I am really satisfied that I have returned and that I will lead Norwich in the Premier League. It is obvious that some really wonderful things have been done in the club in the last four and a half years. Now it is up to me and Craig to continue to improve things, in order to be able to achieve that ultimate goal of survival in the Premier League. Norwich City is a great club, with a huge number of fans who fully understand what it means to be part of the club and its community – said Dean Smith upon arriving at the new club.
Norwich is currently the last-placed team in the Premier League with only five points won. It is a big job ahead of Dean Smith to keep the “Canaries” in the elite.
What do you think, can Smith wake up the team and make a big turnaround by the end of the season?
