MFPA continued to maintain their consistency in the VMFA Cisk Premier League when they beat Luxol 11-6.
The Malta Football Players Association were leading 7-3 bofore half-time and although the St Andrew’s tried to make a comeback, they still could not keep up with the power of the opponents.Roderick Bajada notched a hat-trick, George Frendo and Aleksandar Ribic scored a double each while Manuel Sevasta, Jonathan Bondin, Aleksandar Marinkovic and Charles Polidano also added their names among the scorers.Mauro Camoranesi scored a hat-trick while Mano Micallef, Luke Satariano and Michael Galea reduced the scoring margin for Luxol.
Gzira United are just one point away from the leaders after an easy 12-3 win against bottom team Żurrieq Wolves.Ian Zammit continued to strengthen his place in the top scorers lists when he scored six goals. Arthur Oyama scored a hat-trick while Jamie Pace had a double to his name. David Azzopardi tied the score for his team.Żurrieq found the net after goals from Robert Zammit, Clarence John Conger Thompson and Nicolai D’Amato.
In a very entertaining and balanced game, Hibernians and Rabat ended their match in a 3-3 draw.Ilia Nazarov, Jeffrey Chetcuti and Craig scored for the Paolites while a double by Adam Smeir and Timothy Zammit netted for the Magpies.
