The champions Valletta St Paul’s are the sole leaders of the MAFA First Division league table after beating Balluta Barracudas 3-2.
It was a game that reached its climax in the first half when the Citizens scored two goals while adding another in the second half although their opponents always kept fighting until the end.
Ejike Andrew Obetta put Valletta St Paul’s ahead in the 8th minute so Ian Zammit doubled the score in the 27th minute. Balluta reduced the scoring margin by Matthew Tortell in the 28th minute.
A minute later Obetta added a personal double when he scored the third one for the St Paul’s outfit from a penalty.
In the second half, Valletta St Paul’s controlled the proceedings although the Cudas found time to score their second goal from Timmy Zammit Lupi.

San Gwann Pro Evolution Academy got their first win of the season as they beat Mqabba Albions.
The first half was a balanced one with San Ġwann having most of the possession but with Mqabba who were controlling well although they conceded a goal from below through Moise Bidi Kizayamoko.
In the second half, the French students came out very aggressive with Moise Bidi Kizayamoko who combined a personal double and with Michael Di Lorenzo, Antoine Crozemary and Tom Riandet who added more goals for their team.

In the second division. Valletta Stars St Dominic are joint leaders with Senglea Gunners a after a score of 4-0 against Gudja Wanderers.
The main protagonists for the Stars were Miguel Perez Jimenez and Federico Tejada Marine who scored a brace each in the first half.
Referee was Karl Stefan Galea.
Żebbuġ Youngsters and Birżebbuġa St Peter’s ended in a 1-1 draw.
It was Luke Cachia who put the Youngsters on top with a magnificent free kick that surprised the opposing goalkeeper.
In the second half, Birżebbuġa equalized the score on 56 minutes through Junior Ohalewe.

Swieqi United AFC continued to dominate the third division championship after another great score of 8-2 against St Paul’s Bay NMFC.
The team from Swieqi has maximum points where they have already scored 24 goals in four games.
Arthur Felippe Stelmach Santana scored three goals while Jubril Bolaji Mustapha, David Taiwo Akindele, Adigun Azeez Ogundepo and Aiezza Calilo Joao Victor added to the score for their team.
St Paul’s Bay had Din Jamir Miya and Bishal Khawish who reduced the scoring margin.
