LEGEND RETURNS TO CLUB: Rangers officially has a new manager!

One of the best left backs in history, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, has officially returned to Rangers.

The Dutchman, as announced a few days ago, replaced Steven Gerrard on the Rangers bench.

Van Bronkhorst was a Rangers player from 1998 to 2001, and in that time he won five trophies, including two Scottish championship titles.

He then moved to Arsenal and Barcelona, where he also had significant success and ended his playing career at Feyenoord. He also led the Netherlands as captain to the 2010 World Cup final.

As a coach, he led Feyenoord from 2015 to 2019, then he led Gwangju in 2020, but that cooperation did not last long, because van Bronkhorst decided that he wanted to dedicate more time to his family.

However, that break was not long, and now he has officially become the 17th manager in the history of Rangers.

The Teddy Bears are currently first on the table of the Scottish Premiership with four points more than the second-placed Celtic.

Can Giovanni van Bronckhorst continue where Steven Gerrard left off?
