The 2024 finals commenced with defending champions Italy defeating Norway in Belfast before hosts Northern Ireland faced Ukraine in Larne.
The 2024 UEFA European Under-19 Championship began on Monday, 15 July, with Italy, the titleholders, securing a victory over Norway in the opening match held in Belfast.
Norway took the lead after 35 minutes when Daniel Braut struck the ball into the bottom left corner. Italy equalised just before half-time with a long-range shot. In the second half, Italy clinched the winner at the 51-minute mark as Kevin Zeroli headed in from a corner.

Group A action continues on Monday with Northern Ireland, the hosts, competing against Ukraine in Larne.
In Group B, Denmark will play against Spain and France will take on Türkiye on Tuesday, 16 July.
