Hamrun Spartans continued their dominant run, securing a close victory over Birkirkara with a score of 5-4. Despite Birkirkara previously leading the group standings, Hamrun Spartans proved their strength, to overtake them for the top spot.
Balzan and Sirens played a close match, with Balzan emerging victorious 2-1. However, Sirens bounced back later, defeating Santa Lucia 2-1.
Gzira United couldn’t overcome Hamrun Spartans, falling short with a score of 4-1. Birkirkara then engaged in a close battle with Gzira United, ultimately securing a win with a score of 5-4.
Santa Lucia displayed a strong performance, narrowly defeating Valletta with a score of 5-4. However, Valletta managed to redeem themselves later in the day, defeating Balzan 5-2.
With the completion of Match Day 3, the race for the top spots in Group A remains wide open. The upcoming matches promise even more excitement as the teams battle for a chance to advance to the Knockout Stage.
