Claudio Echeverri is the new footballer for Manchester City, confirmed by the club. The 18-year-old midfielder, who played for River Plate, signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with City.
The transfer fee for Echeverri is around £12.5 million. He will remain on loan at River Plate until the end of 2024. He captained Argentina in the U17 World Cup in November, scoring a hat-trick in a 3-0 victory against Brazil in the quarterfinals.
He finished the tournament with five goals, and Argentina ultimately secured fourth place.
