Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has spoken about the difference in football cultures in England and Italy.
“I think it is a bad habit in England that only the coach goes out in public and explains everything that happens inside the club.” I have never seen the medical staff come out and explain the nature of the injuries. “Nor did I see the sports director explaining the strategy,” said the Italian expert, who added:
“The English should emulate the Italians.” In Italy, before every game, there is a person who is in charge of public relations and talks about things within the club. “I think it’s a better system,” Antonio Conte said.
However, traditionally in England, coaches hold the title of manager and are nominally in charge of the entire sporting aspect of the club, unlike the rest of Europe.
