The football world was shaken today by two very unpleasant news. The first one came to us in the afternoon when Bayern announced that Alphonso Davies had heart problems, and the second one arrived tonight and is related to Pierre Emerick Aubameyang!
Namely, the grieving Arsenal captain also has heart problems, which is why he was not present at the match between Ghana and Gabon.
As in the case of the Bayern football player, the Aubameyang coronavirus left consequences on the heart muscle, which is why the 32-year-old attacker did not get a doctor’s permission to be on the field.
It is not yet known exactly what problem Aubameyang has and how serious it is, but it is certain that he will not be in the African Cup of Nations for some time to come.
It certainly seems that the Gabonese will have to pass some more, additional, medical tests before he gets the green light to return to football.
Although we recently had the case of Sergio Aguero who had to end his career in the Barcelona jersey precisely because of heart problems.
We hope that the situation with Aubameyang is not so serious, but we will have to wait for additional information about the whole case.
Until then, we all have to hope that the Arsenal striker – well…
