The Malta Rugby Football Union (MRFU) recently met with Mr. Jean Claude Micallef, CEO of AIMS, and other officials from the Authority for Integrity in Maltese Sport. During the meeting, a wide range of topics were discussed. Mr. Micallef provided an overview of the new procedures that will soon be implemented to streamline regulatory processes.
Robert Portelli, President of the MRFU, emphasised the importance of integrity, particularly within rugby, as it is one of the sport’s core values. The two parties explored opportunities for future collaboration and discussed mutually beneficial initiatives that will be launched in the coming months.
The MRFU is already working closely with various departments within AIMS, especially on education programmes, with the goal of ensuring that all MRFU members participate in sessions focused on integrity in sport.
