Luca Zarb began his remarkable SevenxSeven challenge this morning, embarking on the first of seven marathons in seven days to raise funds for Hospice Malta.
The inaugural marathon started in Salina amidst blustery winds, intermittent rain, and occasional bursts of sunshine. Despite the challenging conditions, Luca maintained high spirits as he tackled the 42.2 km route, which included stops at Portomaso, the Hospice Malta premises, Cospicua, and concluded in Marsascala.
Joining Luca along the route were several runners who lent their support, providing energy and encouragement to keep morale high throughout the day. Their support highlighted the collective spirit behind this extraordinary challenge.
Tomorrow, Luca takes on the second leg of his mission, starting with the Mdina to Spinola route before continuing towards Xemxija and Mellieħa.
The SevenxSeven campaign is already inspiring many, as Luca’s determination to bring to the fore Hospice Malta’s work shines through each step of this demanding journey.
