MADNESS IN SILVERSTONE: Bagnaia is the new king of Britain!

Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia won the British Grand Prix of the Moto GP Championship.

Bagnaia finished the race at Silverstone in 40 minutes, 10.260 seconds and achieved his fourth victory of the season. It is his second consecutive victory, after the triumph in the Netherlands.

Second place was taken by Aprilia’s Maverick Viñales, 0.426 seconds behind, and third was Ducati’s Jack Miller, 0.614 seconds behind.

Pramac rider Joan Zarco, who started from pole position, did not finish the race, as he fell from his motorcycle on the fifth lap when he lost control during a turn. He was in the lead until then.

Overall leader Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo finished the race in eighth place, 3.819 seconds behind.

Quartararo has 180 points in the overall standings, 22 points ahead of Ales Espargaro from Aprilia, who was ninth today. Bagnaia is third with 131 points.

The next race in the championship is on August 21 for the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.
