Fgura United raises €56,200 in aid of Puttinu in the football marathon

The 4th edition of the Fgura United FC 50hr non-stop football marathon in aid of Puttinu Cares registered a record-breaking sum of €56,200.

Presented by Charline Magro, a proud member of Down Syndrome Malta, the opening ceremony saw the kick-off taking place between members of the Special Olympics and young players of Fgura United FC. Besides the club’s nursery players, various companies and government departments, the marathon also hosted 20 inmates who left CCF for two hours to play football for this just cause. A donation was also presented on their behalf.

This social manifestation not only permitted the club to collect money for Puttinu beneficiaries but also to create and empower members from various vulnerable groups in the society. A consistent message that outlines the club’s ongoing quest for social justice through football.
