Beach Handball National Team Squad for EHF Men Beach Handball Championship 2024 in Varna

The Malta Handball Association is proud to announce the National Team Squad which will be representing Malta in the European Handball Federation (EHF) Men Beach Handball Championship to be held in Varna between the 11th to 14th of July. This will be the first ever participation by Malta in this competition.

This participation is a very important milestone in the Malta Handball Association long term plan for the development of this relatively new and growing branch of the Handball game. The MHA believes that this branch of the Handball game needs to be given its due importance and the MHA together with the Malta Olympic Committee are heavily invested in developing Beach Handball.

The Maltese National Team has been drawn in Group B against France, Bulgaria, Norway and the Czechia. Malta will have its first match on the 11th of July against France at 17:00 followed by three matches on the 12th of July at 9:00, 14:00 and 18:00 versus Bulgaria, Norway and Czechia respectively. Based on the results obtained the Maltese National Team will then participate in the respective placement matches.

The National Team Coaches Mr Pedro Jorge Teixeira Mota and Mr Gabor Bathori who both have extensive experience as players and as coaches in Beach Handball have selected the following players:
