The Inter Amateur Soccer Competition (IASC) emerged as the winners of the third edition of the charity football tournament held in aid of Step Up For Parkinson’s, organised by the Member Associations within the Malta Football Association.

The eight participating teams were divided into two groups, with the top two from each group advancing to the semifinals. In Group A, a selection from the GIDA League and MAFA Team B advanced after overcoming Masters Football Malta and the Veterans Malta Football Association. From Group B, IASC and the iSwan Amateur League booked their places in the last four after eliminating MAFA Team A and the Industries Sports Association (ISA).

In the semi-finals, IASC secured a hard fought 4-3 victory over MAFA Team B in a closely contested encounter, earning a place in the final for the third consecutive year. In the other semi final, the iSwan League selection defeated the GIDA League team 3-1.
The final saw IASC deliver an impressive performance, defeating the iSwan Amateur League 5-1 to lift the trophy for the second consecutive year and secure back-to-back titles.

All matches were officiated by qualified referees from the Malta Football Association and were played at the Centenary Ground.
In addition to the participating Member Associations, the Malta Football Coaches Association (MFCA), the Malta Employees Sports Association (MESA), the Malta Football Players Association (MFPA) and the Malta Football Referees Association (MFRA) also contributed donations in support of the cause.

A total of €3,150 was raised during the tournament. The funds will go towards supporting individuals living with Parkinson’s disease in Malta, through the various services provided by the voluntary organisation Step Up For Parkinson’s.
