Stewart Davies, aged 58, has been announced as the new captain for the 2024/25 season of the Royal Malta Golf Club, taking over from Jay Jay Micallef.
Davies was chosen as the new captain during a recent social event at the club. He has been a member of the Royal Malta Golf Club for the past seven years and has been playing golf for four decades, having also played in the Isle of Man and England.
In his first statement as captain, Davies expressed his commitment to following in the footsteps of his predecessors, particularly in the revitalization of the Marsa golf course. He also hopes to encourage more people, especially women, to take up this sport.
