F1: Binotto is leaving Ferrari by the end of the year!

The information is official – Mattia Binotto is leaving Ferrari, so the Italian team will have a new first man for the new season.

There was speculation in the Italian media, Gazzetta was the first to write about it, and now the official confirmation has arrived – Mattia Binotto will leave Ferrari at the end of the year.

The Italian team again has a dry year behind them – Ferrari was second in the order of constructors, their driver Charles Leclerc also won second place in the general standings, but he was far from Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen.

Believe it or not, the Scuderia has been waiting for its champion since 2007, when Finn Kimi Raikkonen dominated in red. Binotto has been the boss of Ferrari since 2019, and by the way he arrived in 1995 and progressed in the hierarchy over time, he previously held the role of technical director.

In the recently concluded season of the “fastest circus” on the planet, he was often criticized for some decisions that the public thinks had a direct impact on Leclerc’s fight for first place.
