Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has confirmed he will leave the club at the end of the 2025–26 campaign, bringing clarity to months of speculation surrounding his future at Selhurst Park.
The Austrian coach, whose contract expires in June, revealed that he informed Palace chairman Steve Parish of his decision as early as October, during the international break. Glasner explained that the decision was mutually agreed to remain private at the time, to avoid distractions during a demanding period of the season.
Speaking at a press conference, Glasner said that the choice was made months ago and was driven solely by his desire to seek a new challenge, rather than any dissatisfaction with the club or its transfer activity. He stressed that his relationship with Parish remains strong and that both parties share the same objective of acting in the best interests of Crystal Palace.
Glasner also moved to dismiss suggestions that his decision was linked to recent transfer windows, stating that reports implying otherwise were untrue and difficult for him to ignore. He reiterated that his focus has always been on maintaining stability and continuity within the squad.

The 51-year-old enjoyed a historic spell with the Eagles, guiding the club to their first major trophy with last season’s FA Cup triumph. Despite being linked in recent weeks with the Manchester United role, Glasner insisted he has not held talks with any other club and remains fully committed to Palace until the end of the season.

He confirmed that his immediate priority is the club’s European campaign in the Conference League, where Palace have been drawn against Zrinjski Mostar of Bosnia in the play-off round. Glasner added that he is determined to give everything in his final months in charge, with the ambition of delivering what he described as the best season in the club’s history and potentially adding another trophy to Palace’s honours list.
Glasner’s announcement now gives Crystal Palace clarity heading into the latter stages of the season, while allowing the club to plan ahead for life beyond his tenure at Selhurst Park.
