Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema will remain in the “Royal club” for the next season as well after he decided to extend his contract until 2024, reports the Spanish newspaper Marca.
Marca reports that the captain of Real did not want to continue his career in Saudi Arabia and follow the path of former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, who transferred from Manchester United to Al Nasr.
The Frenchman has a contract with Real until the end of the season, and the Ballon d’Or winner is expected to continue his cooperation with Madrid, this media reports.
Benzema has not yet officially signed a new contract, but both sides want it to happen in the coming period.
The Frenchman has been in the Madrid club for 14 years and during that period he won 24 trophies.
He scored 348 goals with 165 assists in 637 games.
