La Playa de Arena are on top of the Nestlé Ice Cream Beach Soccer standings after getting positive results in the first two games they played.
In their first game they found the going tough to beat Ta’ Xbiex 5-4
Daryl Micallef scored a hat trick for the winners, with Andre Joe Cutajar and Sheldon Mizzi adding more goals for their team.
Ta’ Xbiex had Saturday Nanapere scoring a double while Giovanni Galea and an own goal increased the score for their team.
In the second game, the same La Playa de Arena beat Hamrun 5-4 after a penalty shoot-out. Lithuanian player Mantas Makutunivicius scored a brace with Karl Caruana and Daryl Micallef adding more goals for their team.
Emanuele Garba scored a hat-trick for Ħamrun with Nezar adding another one for his team.
In the penalty shoot-out La Playa de Arena who won 4-3.
Earlier the same Hamrun got three important points after a score of 5-4 against Sliema. Nezar and Emanuele Garba scored two goals each with Weverton Gomes adding another.
Naxxar Lions completely dominated the match against Sliema so much so that they beat them 7-0.
Nicholas Schembri helped himself with a hat-trick while JP Zammit and Kurt Borg scored a brace apiece.
