Marconia Zammit Borg successfully advanced to the round of 64 in the WDF Europe Cup with an impressive performance in the initial round.
She secured her spot in the next phase of the tournament by defeating Katarina Griffe from Slovenia with a close score of 4-3. However, her journey ended in the next round as she was defeated 4-1 by Nikki Bradsley from the Isle of Man. The rest of the female players, including Liliana Abela, Audrey Gauci, and Josianne Caruana, were all eliminated in the first round with similar scores against their opponents, Christiane Muzik, Gina D’Hondt, and Eve Watson, respectively.

In the men’s doubles, Kirsten Aquilina and Tony Borg were defeated 4-2 by Henrik Halsvik and Vegar Elvevoll from Norway, while Albert Scerri and Jonathan Bilocca were eliminated by the English pair of Neil Duff and Nikki Dunlop with a score of 4-1.
The third day of the competition will see the men’s individual events and the women’s doubles take place.
