The fifth edition of the Ping Pong Parkinsons World Championships is currently taking place in Lasko, Slovenia, with four players from Malta participating. Among them are Adrian Casha, Frans Barbara, Anna Tabone, and Ralph Accarino, who are accompanied by their coach Katia Mifsud.
During the opening ceremony, Casha proudly carried the flag, followed by his fellow players. In the previous round, Casha managed to secure second place in his group, winning against Joachim Oetkin (3-0), Franjo Vesligaj (3-2), and George Straeten (3-1), but losing to Frank Darwin (3-0).

Accarino and Barbara finished fourth in their groups and have qualified for the consolation round. Accarino defeated Mario Muller (3-1) and Frans Jurkovic (3-1), but lost to Christian Nierzwicki and Marco di Lena (both 3-0). Barbara also had a successful run, winning against Rainer Poller (3-0) and Dazen Nofta (3-1), but facing defeats against Corrado Latino, Olaf Dietrich (both 3-0), and Anton Trontelj (3-1).
Moreover, Anna Tabone, representing Malta in the doubles category alongside German player Anita Schultz, has qualified for the main round. The competition continues today, with the Maltese players all geared up for their upcoming matches.
