Birkirkara FC are set to strengthen their attacking options with the imminent signing of Croatian forward Jere Vrcić, as the Stripes continue to reinforce their squad during the January transfer window. Sources close to Birkirkara have confirmed to Malta Sport.
Vrcić, born on 30 September 2004 in Split, Croatia, is a 21-year-old centre forward known for his movement, physical presence and eye for goal. A right footed attacker, he primarily operates through the middle, offering a direct option in the final third.
The Croatian striker currently belongs to NK Croatia Zmijavci, whom he joined on 31 January 2025, and remains under contract until January 2027. His performances in the Croatian football system have attracted interest abroad, with Birkirkara moving decisively to secure his services.
Vrcić is represented by Lautus Football and is viewed as a player with significant development potential, fitting Birkirkara’s strategy of combining youth with ambition as they look to remain competitive on all fronts.
An official announcement from the club is expected shortly, with the forward set to add depth and attacking alternatives to the Birkirkara frontline ahead of the decisive phase of the season.
