Inter Milan’s Serie A title challenge continues to falter after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Atalanta at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday afternoon.
Francesco Esposito broke the deadlock on 26 minutes, finishing off a Nicolo Barella assist to give the hosts a first half lead. However, Atalanta levelled matters on 83 minutes through Nikola Krstovic, who came off the bench to snatch a share of the spoils and deny Inter all three points

Inter dominated possession with 57 percent of the ball and created the better chances throughout, registering 16 shots compared to Atalanta’s eight, but they were unable to convert their superiority into a winning goal.
The result is another blow to Inter’s title ambitions, coming shortly after their defeat in the Milan derby. With the Serie A race tightening, dropped points at home against a fellow top side will give their rivals plenty of encouragement.
