Fiorentina 2 Viktoria Pilzen 0 (Fiorentina win 2-0 on aggregate)

Fenerbache 1 Olympiakos 0 (Olympiakos win 3-2 on penalties. Aggregate 3-3)

PAOK 0 Club Brugge 2 (Club Brugge win 3-0 on aggregate)

Aston Villa are the only English side who managed to make it through to the semi finals in Europe with a penalty shootout win against Lille. The Villains managed to equalize the tie at the death with a goal by Matty Cash after Lille had taken a two-goal lead through Yazici and Andre’. Argentina’s world cup winner Martinez was the hero with two brilliant stops in the shootout.

Fiorentina were the only Italian side to make it to the semi final of the Conference league with a 2-0 extra time victory over Czech side Viktoria Pilzen, eliminators of Gzira United in the earlier rounds of the competition.

The match between Olympiakos and Fenerbache also went to penalties after the Turks had levelled the tie courtesy of a strike by Khaveci.
The only relatively straightforward encounter was Club Brugge’s 2-0 win over PAOK with a 3-0 win on aggregate after the Belgian’s had already won the first leg 1-0.
