Spyros Capralos explains last preparations for EYOF Bakuriani 2025

In a letter from the European Olympic Committee President Spyros Capralos explained how the last preparations for EYOF Bakuriani 2025 are at full speed:

Another busy month has passed for the EOC as we continue our preparations for the Winter EYOF Bakuriani 2025 at a rapid pace. Towards the end of the month, I had the pleasure of meeting the participants of the European Youth Olympic Ambassadors program for Bakuriani 2025.

These Ambassadors were selected by their respective NOCs and will play a crucial role in ensuring that Europe’s talented young athletes embrace the Olympic values and have a fulfilling experience in Georgia. The EYOA program has been a great success in previous editions of the EYOF, and we eagerly anticipate the energy and passion this new group of Ambassadors will bring to this edition.

Some of our NOCs reached significant milestones this month. I was delighted to attend Team Ireland’s Centenary Ball in Dublin, followed by a trip to Bucharest for the Romanian NOC’s celebration of 110 years of Olympism.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Ruth Metzler-Arnold, who has been elected as the new President of the NOC of Switzerland, Dame Katherine Grainger for her election as President of the British Olympic Association, and Petteri Kilpinen, who was elected as President of the Finnish NOC.

Congratulations also to Leri Khabelov, who has been re-elected as President of the Georgian NOC. The EOC looks forward to working with all of you to continue spreading the Olympic values and inspiring sport!

It has been an incredibly successful year so far for the Olympic Movement in Europe, and we strive to maintain this momentum as we approach the end of the year.
