Red Bull have revealed their new livery for the 2026 Formula 1 season at a high-profile launch event held at Michigan Central Station in Detroit, marking the start of a new era for the team ahead of the sport’s regulation changes.
The Milton Keynes-based outfit chose Detroit as the location for the unveiling to highlight its partnership with Ford, with whom Red Bull are developing its first-ever in-house Formula 1 power unit. The reveal was accompanied by a dramatic stunt, as Red Bull pilot Martin Šonka flew his aircraft through the venue, tearing the cover from the car in spectacular fashion.

The new livery represents a return to a gloss finish, a look last used when Red Bull made their Formula 1 debut in 2005. For 2026, the RB22 features what the team describe as a heritage white base, designed to provide greater depth and clarity while allowing the iconic Red Bull and sun logo to stand out more prominently.
Four-time world champion Max Verstappen will spearhead the team’s challenge once again, alongside Isack Hadjar, who steps up from sister outfit Racing Bulls. The pair will be tasked with returning Red Bull to the top of the Constructors’ standings, having last claimed the Teams’ Championship in 2023.
Red Bull finished third in the championship last season, with Verstappen mounting a late charge in the Drivers’ title race that went down to the final round in Abu Dhabi.
For the 2026 campaign, Verstappen will race under number 3, his preferred choice, switching from the 33 he previously used. The number was last seen on a Red Bull car during Daniel Ricciardo’s time with the team. Hadjar will continue to race with number 6.
The team will be led by Laurent Mekies, who took over as Team Principal midway through last season following the departure of Christian Horner, while Pierre Waché will continue to head the technical department as Red Bull embark on one of the most significant chapters in their Formula 1 history.
