Leclerc: I hated Verstappen when I was younger

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc said that he and Red Bull rival in Formula 1 Max Verstappen “at one point hated each other when they were younger”.

Their rivalry has lasted since they competed in karting as young men.

This continued in the Formula 1 championship.

After three races, Leclerc is first with 71 points, and Verstappen is in sixth place with 25.

“It will be very close. It was always tight. In karting, it was either him or me and that is why we hated each other at one point, because very often not everything ended in the best way “, said Leclerc.

Verstappen did not finish two races due to car problems, but both have dominated since the start of the season and are expected to be the main contenders for the title.

I don’t know in which parts we are stronger or not as drivers. We have two very different driving styles. “One will win one day and the other the other day, but I like that,” said the Ferrari driver.
