Tarxien couldn’t keep their momentum going and missed out on a second straight win in the YoHealth Malta Premier, drawing 1-1 with Żabbar St. Patrick. The Saints looked like they would get their first win of the season but conceded a late equaliser.
Żabbar took the lead in the 28th minute when Santiago Cejas Pedro’s header went past Andrea Cassar. The first half ended 1-0 to Żabbar.
In the second half, Żabbar tried to score again but couldn’t, and they were punished in the 83rd minute when Kwasi Donsu fired a brilliant shot to make it 1-1.
