Juventus are continuing to strengthen their management team under new CEO Damien Comolli, who is set to officially take over from Maurizio Scanavino. After appointing Luciano Spalletti as coach and preparing to name Marco Ottolini as sporting director, the club is now bringing in another key figure, Peter Silverstone, a Scottish executive who will replace Francesco Calvo as Chief Business Officer.
Although not very well known in Italy, Silverstone has a strong background in finance, media, and football. Born in Glasgow and a law graduate from the University of Edinburgh, he began his career at Morgan Stanley before moving into football business.
He spent seven years at Arsenal, eventually becoming Chief Commercial Officer, where he helped grow the club’s international presence and built partnerships in key markets. In 2022, he joined OneFootball as Senior Vice President of Global Development, managing relationships with clubs and leagues around the world.
More recently, he worked at Newcastle United, playing a major role in the club’s commercial revival. As Chief Commercial Officer, he helped secure one of the biggest sponsorship deals in the club’s history, a major contract with Adidas worth around £30 million a year, which boosted Newcastle’s global image.
Now, Silverstone is ready to start his new challenge in Turin. Taking over a department temporarily led by Giorgio Chiellini, his main goal will be to strengthen Juventus’ brand and increase revenue worldwide. With his international experience, he is expected to help Juventus grow commercially, expand into new markets, and build on existing partnerships.
