Valletta St Paul’s returned to winning ways in a massive way as they beat San Ġiljan Saints 7-2 to go on equal points with Swieqi Braves. Ironically these two teams will meet each other next Saturday in what is considered a decider for winning the title championship.

The Citizens were in a class of their own as Elton Da Silva scored a hat-trick to go alone at the top of scorers list while Justin Grioli, Michele Sansone, Valdo Alinho and Samuel Dickson also put their names down among the scorers.

Nial Dorman and Kenneth Johansson reduced the scoring margin for the Saints.

San Gwann Pro Evolution Academy condemned Valletta Stars St Dominic to second division football after obtaining a mammoth 8-0 scoreline.

The French students were dominant throughout the game with the Stars finding it difficult to keep up with the pace of their opponents.

Bellon D’Alexandre scored three goals, Georges Agbohoun was the author of a double while a penalty by Yohann Davidas, Matheo Meyer and Aira Auoub tied the score for their team.

In the second division, Mqabba Albions and Attard Edex Kings failed to take advantage of Ta’ Giorni Wanderers’ defeat when in the duel for promotion they ended in a 1-1 draw.

Calvin Agius put the Albions in front in the 20th minute, while Audu Clement Oshoke equalized the score four minutes later.

With two matches to go, the race for the second place will be contested by Mqabba Albions, Ta’ Ġiorni Wanderers and Attard Edex Kings.

Ta Ġiorni Wanderers were surprised by Bugibba Club de SWAT as they lost 5-3.

Bugibba, who are fighting against relegation, had striker Muh Afzal Pullikkoth scoring four goals with Shibin Maliyekkal adding another one for his team.

Samuel Barthet scored twice for Ta’ Giorni Wanderers while Edward Micallef Stafrace added his name among the scorers.

In the third division, Ħal Far Titans had a 2-0 walk-over over Mosta Vikings so that they have now officially been promoted to the second division together with Hamrun Amateurs.
