October league games shifted from National Stadium

There will be no Malta Premier League matches at the National Stadium in Ta’ Qali throughout October as the pitch undergoes its yearly reseeding process.

All fixtures in the Malta Premier League for match days eight, nine and ten will therefore be played at the Centenary Stadium, the Tony Bezzina Stadium in Paola and the Victor Tedesco Stadium in Hamrun. The decision ensures that the playing surface at the National Stadium is properly maintained ahead of the winter months.

However, the National Stadium will still be used for two international fixtures in October. Malta will face the Netherlands on Thursday 9th October and Bosnia and Herzegovina on Sunday 12th October.

Match day eight will open on Thursday 2nd October with Mosta FC facing Gżira United FC at the Centenary Stadium, followed later in the evening by Tarxien Rainbows FC against Marsaxlokk FC. The round continues across three days, concluding on Sunday 5th October with Naxxar Lions FC taking on Valletta FC.
