Żebbuġ Rangers FC have announced that head coach Saviour Debono Grech has parted ways with the club following a mutual agreement.
In a statement, Debono Grech confirmed that the decision was taken in the best interests of both parties, as he looks ahead to the next step in his coaching journey.
“My time with Żebbuġ Rangers FC has come to an end. A mutual agreement was reached between the club and myself, and at this time, I believe this decision serves the best interests of both the club and my own personal growth,” he said.
Debono Grech highlighted his commitment during his time at the club, stressing that he consistently worked to support the technical staff and players in all circumstances.
“I have always dedicated myself to supporting all the staff members and the players in every situation since joining the club,” he added.
The departing coach also expressed his gratitude towards the club’s committee and backroom staff, singling out key figures for their continued backing throughout his tenure.
“I wish to express my sincere appreciation for the consistent support provided by the committee members, particularly Ian Francalanza and Antione Grima Laringu, as well as the technical staff and kit managers. Your commitment over these past months has been invaluable to me.”
Debono Grech concluded by wishing the club well for the future, while indicating that he will take some time to rest before considering his next move.
“Thank you all, and best of luck to Żebbuġ Rangers Football Club. As I move forward, I am ready for what’s next, but for now, it is time to rest.”
